By Don Behm Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele on Wednesday vetoed to hire 30 new sheriff's deputies and to establish a mobile food market service that would sell locally grown produce to seniors and residents of neighborhoods without full-line grocery stores. Abele's veto messages to supervisors criticized use of contingency funds for both initiatives. Contingency funds should be saved for unforeseen circumstances or public emergencies, Abele said in the messages.
