By New Berlin — After years of battling over whether the failing swimming pool at Eisenhower Middle/High School should be rehabilitated because of cost, the New Berlin School Board on Monday voted to go ahead with the project, paying for it with proceeds from the sale of district properties and with surplus funds. The renovation will cost $2.1 million. Adding a 950 square-foot addition to expand the pool to eight lanes, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection and pool operation equipment brings the total to $3.2 million.
